Suitable for: Head teachers; SLT Attendance Leads; Attendance Managers with leadership responsibility for attendance. This course would also benefit attendance support staff responsible for implementing attendance strategies.

Attendance is a complex issue! The morning session offers an overview of the different strands involved and looks strategically at overall assessment of the present and how to take that forward in structured ways that can be monitored, reviewed and re-shaped for your school.
The afternoon session follows up with practical ideas and suggestions for implementing your school attendance strategy. Hints, tips and a hands-on workshop are all designed for those who have responsibility to promote and engage students, parents & carers with the ethos of good attendance and punctuality; embedding the processes within yearly school planning and monitoring outcomes & successes.
